The absence of a structured approach to goal setting led to misaligned expectations and a lack of clarity on individual contributions.
Solution
I implemented a framework for annual goal setting that included:
- Collaborative goal-setting sessions between team members and their managers.
- Aligning individual goals with organizational objectives.
- Regular check-ins to monitor progress and address any obstacles.
- Provision for documenting quarterly progress

Goal settings along with job responsibilities breakdown across levels for each role (Product Designers, Shared resources i.e. Research, Visual Designers, Design System, UX Writers)
